Project Timeline

After over a year of having the idea for this game in my mind, but never actually planning to make it, I finally realized that in order to get it out of my head I will have to write it. I taught myself Twine (with help from the forums and YouTube) and began writing Artifact.

Realizing that I’d actually done a significant amount of more work than I had originally planned to (and enjoying it more than I thought), I decided I’d hire an artist to draw 1 character and then post the game online to gauge interest. Admittedly, I didn’t actually expect anyone to purchase. I was quickly proven wrong. Now on a mission to make the game worth every penny, I begin to plan things out long-term. 

Small updates are released monthly.

Originally intended to be just for Artifact, the Discord would eventually evolve into the official community chat hub for all things Mesmerizers Gaming. 

I lose my job. Crushed underneath the foot of Uncle Sam, and with all the time in the world, I release a massive update that gives a huge new spark to the game, allowing me to continue working on Artifact full time. Large monthly updates become the new norm.

Originally intended to be a simple game developer website, Mesmerizers Gaming would soon expand to be a hub for all sorts of mind & body control-related kinks, spawning live content, caption series, and more as a bonus for supportive Patrons. 

Preliminary coding begins for Swarm of the Symbiotes, initial concept art is created.

The first caption series story is uploaded, The Rain – Janie.
